01
The sport
A direct heir of lacrosse, the ancestral game of the Indigenous peoples of North America, intercrosse was codified in Québec in the 1980s as an educational, non-violent version of the game: plastic stick, soft ball, no contact allowed.
Two mixed teams of five players face off on an indoor court. Passes, dodges, interceptions: everything relies on movement and cooperation — never on force.
02
The FIIC values
A game in constant motion where everyone touches the ball and takes part in the action.
Players referee themselves and make their own decisions: intercrosse builds responsible citizens.
No contact, no intimidation: respect for the opponent is the first rule.
A team sport where speaking and listening matter as much as technique.
